Senior Consultant Topic Expert Health Insurance
As a Senior Consultant, you will work primarily in the implementation phase of a project. This includes experience in various project activities such as business conceptualizing, analysis and design, and eventually, solution implementation.

Responsibilities
  • ​​Independently drive the success of a work stream by directing activities, ensuring high quality deliverables and timely submission
  • Manage a team of consultants by defining meaningful work packages, managing activities, and through mentorship
  • Conduct interviews and workshops with clients to translate their requirements into well formulated solutions
  • Close interaction with clients through regular project updates and networking
  • Participate in business development activities including topic development, proposal preparation, sales presentations, and contract negotiation.
General Requirements ​
  • ​Degree holder
  • At least four years of experience in the health insurance sector (insurance or consulting firm) with a focus on individual health and/or group health (Life and General insurance)
  • Experience with IT systems to support medical/health insurance processes
  • Highly analytical and structured in problem solving; able to quickly understand complex situations
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills with clients and colleagues
  • Possess an entrepreneurial spirit and team leadership skills
  • Excellent spoken and written English and Cantonese
Health Expertise Requirements ​ ​

Policy administration and partner management (in at least two sub-areas) ​
  • ​In depth understanding of health insurance business activities
  • Policy administration processes in Hong Kong and/or any other countries in Asia will be an advantage
  • Experience communicating with agents, brokers, customers, TPAs, provider networks and other insurance companies (coinsurance/reinsurance) ​
Claims (in at least two sub-areas) ​
  • ​Experience in pre-approval and claims processes for medical/health claims (including validation, investigation and benefit calculation)
  • Knowledge of the key drivers to ensure a high automation (low turnaround time) and a high customer satisfaction (transparency, ease of access etc.)
  • Experience communicating with agents, brokers, customers, TPAs, provider networks and other insurance companies (coinsurance/reinsurance)
  • Knowledge of analytics regarding claims (prevention of leakage/fraud)
Customer acquisition and underwriting (will be an added advantage) ​ ​
  • ​Experience in developing new or enhanced medical/health products (plans and benefits)
  • Knowledge of pricing, competitive coverage, relevant regulations, laws, guidelines and procedures in key markets of South East Asia
  • Experience with the whole process from product idea to official launch and the coordination needs with other functional departments
  • Expertise in underwriting of medical/health cases
  • Knowhow of sales and marketing tools
